Automatic doors may be used outside and inside the building, above the ground or under the ground, as sliding doors, telescopic doors, hopper doors.
For the purpose of ensuring safe movement, automatic doors are equipped with infrared barriers and hopper doors are equipped with infrared sensors. If an obstacle appears on the way in which the wings move, then the stopping of an infrared stream will lead to immediate sliding (in case of sliding doors) or stoppage (in hopper doors) of door wings.
Microprocessor in the automatic operating unit of sliding doors is equipped with a self-controlling device which detects all disturbances in the operation of doors. The microprocessor automatically starts up actions necessary for safe operation of doors and error codes are displayed on a programming device.
The following elements may be used to steer door-opening: ultrasound movement detector, infrared movement detector, key switch, remote control, foot switch or elbow switch, magnetic card reader, code keyboard.
