  • Garage sectional door, garage roller door or overhead garage door – what to choose?
These three types of garage doors are used in a different way and have varied structure as well as different infill of the wing. At present, the sectional door is the best sell in the category of garage doors, mainly due to its advantages. Before you make a decision to purchase, you should find out what its greatest advantages are.
The sectional door produced by WIŠNIOWSKI is a warm door, made of 40 [mm] steel panels filled with polyurethane foam and insulated on the entire circumference. This door is available in standard dimensions and in special dimensions as well as in 210 colours from RAL palette. The offer is supplemented by additional equipment: automatic operation by remote control, decorative glazing and pass-through doors. The solid and resistant structure, rollers with “floating” axes and a set of properly selected springs guarantee efficiency and comfortable operation of the door.
Our offer also includes roller-shutter garage doors and tilted garage doors.
  • How to prepare a garage for installing the door?
If you want to install a roller-shutter door or a sectional door, your garage must be fully finished. Internal walls of the building should be covered with plaster and painted and the floors must be finished (if you are to have tiles there, they should be fitted first). After installing the door, you must not perform any finishing works as possible stains on the door jacket and slides may cause its damage or faulty operation. It is forbidden to install the door in the room in which the walls and the floor are not totally dry.
If you are planning to install a overhead door, walls do not need to be coated with plaster as finishing works are necessary after installation. Floor in the garage must be laid only after installing the door. The threshold of the door should be filled with concrete inside. Before you initiate finishing works, remember to cover the door with foil for protection.
  • What is the difference between a garage opening and the light of the driveway after the door is installed?
The garage opening is the size of the wall light before installing the door. After the installation, the light of the driveway is decreased by a certain value, depending on the kind of the door.

  • Typical or special size?
The company WIŠNIOWSKI offers a wide array of products in standard dimensions; products may be bought at attractive prices. If we are unable to fit a standard door to the existing opening, we offer tailor-made doors with the size adjusted to the needs of the customer.
  • Thermally-insulated or non-insulated door?
Garage doors are available in the thermally-insulated and non-insulated version. The customer may choose the option which is best for them. Non-insulated doors are used for garages without thermal insulation while thermally-insulated doors are applied in places where good thermal insulation guaranteed by our products is necessary.
  • Sliding fence gate or double-leaf fence gate - what to choose?
The choice of a fence gate for your property depends on the possibility of installing and on the taste and requirements of the customer. If you choose a sliding gate, you must first check whether there is enough space for its free opening. For opening the entire gate you need a distance which may be calculated with the following formula: width of the light of the driveway + the span of foundation screws + 400 [mm]. If you choose a double-leaf gate, you must remember that the gate should open towards the building. To open a double-leaf gate, you must ensure enough space for free movement of gate wings. The space necessary for free opening of the gate with the symmetrical division of wings amounts to 1/2 of the width of the light of the installation hole.

  • What does the term “self-bearing structure of the entrance gate” mean in practice?
The self-bearing structure of the gate guarantees its smooth and trouble-free operation. The gate is suspended over the entrance on an arm; for this reason, impurities, like snow, sand or leaves do not hamper its use which often happens in case of gates mounted on a rail.
  • How to build a proper foundation for a sliding gate?
Proper foundation for the sliding garage gate is very important for the effective operation of the gate. The foundation should be prepared in accordance with the drawing presented to the customer in the Point of Sales of the company WIŠNIOWSKI upon submitting an order for a gate. Apart from the drawing, a customer also gets foundation screws which need to be laid ?? into concrete. When installing the gate with automatic operation, before laying concrete electrical cords it must be positioned as shown in the drawing and connected to power supply. After concrete is used on screws, you must double-check if they are set in proper positions and correct possible irregularities.
  • What is the light of the assembly hole in the double-leaf garage gate?
The light of the assembly hole is measured in the light of the posts. After installing the fence gate the light of the driveway is reduced in relation to the light of the hole.

  • What margins are necessary for proper assembly of fence segments?
For the proper installation of a fence segment, 10 [mm] margin must be left on both sides. When ordering a segment, remember that its dimension should be 20 [mm] smaller than the distance in the light between fence posts. Example: distance in the light of posts = 2520 [mm]; width of the segment = 2500 [mm].

  • Is powder coating only a way to obtain a nicer colour for your surroundings?
Apart from its aesthetic value, powder coating is one of the best methods for anti-corrosion protection which guarantees long-term usage of products without unnecessary maintenance. The coating is laid equally and covers even the areas which are difficult to reach. It produces no patches on the surface of coated elements. Powder coating gives you any colours you wish and various decorative effects: structural, ancient, metallic, pearl and various degress ?? degrees of gloss: full gloss, half-matt, matt.
  • Why is hot galvanizing the best way to protect the surface?
Hot galvanizing is the best method of protecting steel from corrosion. It consists in dipping an element in melted liquid zinc (in the temperature of about 450 oC), after prior chemical treatment. It is now the best method for anti-corrosion protection, much more effective than galvanic zinc plating or coating with base paints.
  • Aluminium joinery: hot or cold?
"Hot" aluminium joinery may be used as an internal partition. Thanks to proper structure of profiles and application of panes with the coefficient U=1,1 we may have very good properties of thermal insulation. Joinery is used in three-chamber aluminium profiles in which the middle chamber is made of connected external and internal profile with separators of polyamide fortified with fibreglass.
”Cold” aluminium joinery may be used as an internal or external partition in case of unheated buildings, like vestibules, warehouses etc.. It is made of single-chamber aluminium profiles without a thermal separator.
