Every year, tourists hike the trails of the Bieszczady Mountains to enjoy their beauty. One of the most popular destinations is Solina – a town located on the shores of a vast lake, enchanting visitors with hills stretching as far as the eye can see. This landscape can now be admired from an entirely new perspective, thanks to the cable car that was launched in 2022. A ride in the panoramic gondola is an attraction in itself. Through the glass walls of the cabin, passengers can admire spectacular views – Lake Solina, the monumental dam, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Bieszczady Mountains.
Travelling from the Solina promenade to the top of Jawor Mountain by cable car, visitors arrive at the upper cable car station. From here, one can endlessly enjoy the picturesque scenery that surrounds the area. To provide visitors with the best possible experience, the entire façade of the building is glazed. In the panoramic café, one can not only enjoy excellent coffee, but also take in the expansive panorama. A number of WIŚNIOWSKI products were used in the construction of the building.
The variety of WIŚNIOWSKI product designs and structures used in this project made it possible to fully meet the investor’s expectations in every respect.

User safety
Fire safety in public buildings is extremely important due to a large number of people who may be present in the event of a fire. Specially adapted doors are a key component of any fire protection system.
At Solina, WIŚNIOWSKI doors based on the ALUPROF MB-78EI systems with EI60 fire resistance (60 minutes) were installed. Such doors are made using materials with appropriate fire resistance, helping prevent the spread of fire and smoke to other parts of the building. They are also equipped with special self-closing mechanisms.
Protection from sunlight
The location of the cable car station required additional protection from sunlight. For this reason, exterior structures based on MB-86 and MB-78 profiles were used. They ensure stability and durability of the structure. Suncool glass technology was applied to the glazing. Such glass offers low solar energy transmittance while providing exceptionally high light transmittance and excellent thermal insulation. The special coating allows a large amount of light to pass through while significantly reducing the thermal portion of solar radiation. Heat attempting to escape from the interior is reflected back inside.
Doors for special applications
In the rooms of both the upper and lower cable car stations, WIŚNIOWSKI ECO seamless steel doors were installed. This is an extremely popular model for public utility buildings. Durable steel solutions ensure safety on all fronts: burglary protection, long-lasting reliability, and functionality. Additionally, they offer an attractive appearance and extensive customization options. Single- or double-leaf, with the swing direction of your choice, with glazing, toplights, or portholes, and a wide range of colours and decorative motifs – enabling full customization to meet the needs of the investor. Attention to detail is ensured by the innovative AWTech frame welding technology. Thanks to this solution, the opening frame weld is nearly invisible, significantly enhancing the door’s aesthetic qualities.
At both cable car stations, the ECO doors were equipped, among other features, with ventilation grilles, fail-safe electric strikes, and door closers.
In selected rooms, WIŚNIOWSKI FORSTER steel doors based on Swiss profiles were used. These doors are fully infilled with ventilation shutters. They are distinguished by their exceptional durability, watertightness, and noise resistance. The stable structure and high technical parameters guarantee long service life.
In areas requiring fire protection, seamless steel doors, solid and threshold-free, were installed. Their fire resistance class is EI60.

A perfect match
The colour scheme of all the elements is consistent. The investor chose a rather unusual dominant colour: RAL 7024 with an elegant textured finish. The colour can be described as matte graphite grey. All the products were powder-coated in the WIŚNIOWSKI paint shop, achieving a cohesive look for both buildings and their interiors. In the café, a colour from the proprietary HOME INCLUSIVE palette was used – Modern Graphite, with metallic particles that create a 3D metallic effect, adding depth to the finish. These are specialist paints in silk-matte shades with a subtle sandgrain texture. The selected colours complement each other perfectly.
The innovative nature of the Home Inclusive™ system is reflected in its versatility – not only in terms of colours, textures, and patterns. The concept guarantees a precise match between products from various groups: garage doors, windows, doors, gates, and fences, and products made from different materials. Elements made of steel, PVC, and aluminium present an equally impressive appearance, even after many years of use.
